“Marcus, a recently released ex-convict returns to his old neighborhood of the Lower East Side to find that things have drastically changed. In a post Covid New York, face masks are the norm and outdoor dining line the city streets. The only remaining remnant of a time he once knew is his over the top pothead friend Boots who quickly informs him of the changed landscape.
Marcus, discouraged from trying to re integrate back into society is enticed by Dante, an old friend and the very reason he went to prison in the first place, who propositions Marcus to get back to life of crime. It isn’t until Marcus meets Hanna, a no-nonsense woman who solely operates and maintains a forgotten neighborhood garden, that he begins to feel some kind of way out and hopefully a way forward through the sense of peace that this garden provides for him.”
